Fantasmi nella macchina (Ghosts in the machine) is a philosophical expression introduced by Oxford philosopher Gilbert Ryle in his 1949 work The Concept of Mind, to describe Cartesian dualism between mind and body. This concept is revisited here through a contemporary lens: it aims to represent the identity crisis of the individual, adrift in the multimedia universe.
