The impossibility of representing "the whole"

Far beyond the physical boundaries and borders, both human and natural, the photographic medium is by its nature unable to represent the "whole".
The subjective choice of the framing during the shooting phase, the compression of the three-dimensional world in two dimensions image, the reduction to a reduced scale, and the eventual cancellation of its chromatic component, are all operations that provide only a subjective and partial representation of what we define "reality".
The decision of using the alternative processes (siderotype) wants to emphasize the boundaries of these portions of reality.
